Lowering My Civic 99 EK

Lowering my civic on Ebay Sleeves was a bouncy ride. The sleeves themselves aren't bad but the springs and their unpredictable spring rate left my ride extra bouncy. There are a Few ways you can go when upgrading your springs but the easiest I could Find Was off PAC Racings Website http://racingsprings.com for custom springs. Their Customer Service Sucks Balls but Its Easy to order From them and a $50 a Spring you can't go Wrong. They Would never ship to the Right shipping address though so i always had to Wonder where my package was. the sent it to my Billing address which was a pain and wouldn't even apologize for doing it. Then I Ordered a second pair and added "please ship to the shipping address" in the special comments box while ordering and guess what... shipped to the billing address.

I ordered 6 inch tall x 2.5 inch wide springs at 200 lbs per inch for the front at 1st. wasn't enough. I was super low and bouncy. I Ordered 450 lbs per inch and that was lovely. could probably go 500 - 600 lbs per inch for a stiffer ride.

BELOW my car with the 200 lbs per inch in the Front

That's with having the Perch up pretty high as well and I even raised it higher with no sign of my car being raised but by a few mm. It was really bouncy but not rough bouncy like ebay springs. more like a smooth bouncy

BELOW Perch height on strut

Here is a Height Comparison of the 6 inch springs next to ebays and a lime rita can

Got the 450 lbs per inch on the car and was super happy with the ride. I left it raised but I like the fact that I Have more Control over my height with this spring rate. My Civic rides smooth now. I Left ebay springs on the Back so its still rough on the back end but when I Get some offset wheels I'm going to lower the back on the 200 lb springs. The rear takes a lower spring rate anyways. If you Go with PAC Racing Springs For your Honda Civic I recommend doing at least 500 lbs per inch in the Front and 300 lbs in the back. Ebay Sleeves are pretty Nice minus the Springs and can be found on ebay for $50 buy the Set and ditch the springs & Get you Some Custom ones. Some upgraded Struts and I'd imagine you Would Ride smoother than Full Coilovers (My Friends on D2s, Racelands, and Skunk 2's are still bumpy). The Best Full Coilovers i Have Rode on were K Sport ($900) and were on a 4 Door 99 DX Civic with a B16. I'm on Cheap China Struts and I'm Still riding Smooth. I Have Top Hats in The Back. Its a real good investment because the protect your strut Life.

*EDIT* 200lbs per inch springs Feel real good on the Rears. Some More Pics of my Civic
